January 16th - Irish Autism Action Mobile Phone Appeal
The students of Patrician High School have been collecting old mobile phones as part of the Irish Autism Action Mobile Phone Appeal.
We currently have enough phones (185) to get an Ipad2 with a protective case and €30 worth of itunes vouchers. The ipad will be donated to the autistic class in Holy Family Special School, Cootehill.
However, if we can get another 50 phones, we can add a laptop to our donation.
Friday January 29th is the final date for collection of any more phones you may have lying around at home. As an added incentive, every phone donated enters you into a competition to get your mortgage paid for a year, up to a value of €12,000! Entrants must be current mortgage holders and the mortgage holder's name must be on the application form.
All phones gratefully received.

In light of recent sad events in our neighbouring school, the school would like to advise all parents who may have any concern at all about their own son to either contact your GP or to contact the school directly at any time. Parents may also find the following Frequently Asked Questions link helpful:

The staff and students of Patrician High School would like to extend our sincerest sympathies to the family and friends affected during this difficult time.
Think you can become the next Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger?
Fantasy Football Competition 2011-2012 Set Up and Ready to Go
Log on to www.fantasy.premierleague.com, hit the 'register' button, create your team and then click the ' Leagues' button in the right hand side menu. Enter the following code 517745-513745 to join the PHS League. The league has been set up so you will only start scoring points from end of October so that everybody has a chance to join up. It is a good idea to pick your team as early as possible as player values tend to go up as soon as the season begins.
Each team costs €3 per student and €10 per teacher. Money will be collected during the competition.. All entrants must use real names or they will be removed from the league. The prize money should be even better than last year. Good luck!
